Our Organisation

Operating in 180+ countries, The Art of Living is a non-profit, educational and humanitarian organization founded in 1981 by the world-renowned humanitarian and spiritual teacher – Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. All our programs are guided by Gurudev’s philosophy: “Unless we have a stress-free mind and a violence-free society, we cannot achieve world peace.”

The Art of Living community is diverse and attracts people from all walks of life.

Siliguri Ashram

“Ashram means where there is no shram (effort); where all the efforts, all the strains of the mind, heart and body drop. All the fears, insecurities, stress, everything drops and you experience deep rest.” – Sri Sri

The foundation of this ashram was laid on 23rd February, 2009. It was inaugrated by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on 17th December, 2017. Our mission is to foster community development & offer retreats for self-development and reflection. Above all, it’s intended to be a place where people of all faiths and ideologies find common ground.

We conduct regular AOL Programs here, as well as various pujas and homas such as Rudra Puja, Devi puja, Ayushya Homa etc. We heartily welcome you to attend our weekly satsangs and Sunday follow ups in our beautiful meditation center to experience serenity
